She didn't cry; she was happily flattening playdoh. She didn't actually say "c'mon, Mom, quit hugging me, I'm busy here," but it's possible she was thinking it.

I didn't cry either; too excited and proud for my big, big girl.

I am going to miss the part of childhood where I can still basically get her to wear whatever I think is cool. (It probably helps that I'm pushing monster shirts rather, than, like, oxford shirts or something.)
