Vorkosigans 2: Electric Surleau?

The previous batch focused on Ekaterin, here’s Aral and Simon: All Public Duties.

And this one has a hilarious scene between Aral and Cordelia: the star to every wandering bark.

I have a really hard time keeping track of the Vorkosiverse backstory and the whole Vorkosigan/Vorbarra family tree, so a lot of the time pre-canon stories don’t work for me, but this one really did: At the going down of the sun, about Olivia and Piotr.

Some miscellany:

Chapter 4 of Four Things that Never Happened to Vanyel Ashkevron. I found this AU scenario curiously charming (the rest of them are skippable).

An Abundance Of Captains is a hilarious and non-spoilery Temeraire story.

More Temeraire: I love a good fixit but also a good *non*-fixit. This is angsty but... rather plausible. a full measure of loyalty.

Or maybe you would rather just have some hot Laurence/Tharkay. keep a deliberate pace.

for always is always now is a Macdonald Hall story, beautifully written.

And as long as I’m on Korman, Wish You Were Here! is an enjoyably long I Want To Go Home! story.

Adjustments. Belle fell in love with a Beast, not this human guy.

Already Mine. Some nice turns of phrase in this Billy Elliot story.

The Christmas Box. Eeee, a Brothers Sinister story about the canonical lesbians! I’m not entirely sure I agree with all of the characterization here - Minnie had those lesbian aunts, surely Amanda and Genevieve would be able to be out to her - but the actual point of this story is Victorian vibrators, so.

Authors are revealed, here is my story. I wrote 10K words of post-Wings in the Morning Turn of the Story story for emilyenrose ( writer of such excellent long Steve/Bucky stories as Out of the Dead Land (doppelganger robots) and Memory (versions of selves), both of which I recommend if you're reading post-Winter Soldier fic). My story will not make any sense if you haven't read both Wings in the Morning and Turn of the Story, but I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Further On, 10K words of Luke trying to sort out his love life, post-camp career plans, and a bit of an interdimensional/alternate-history mix-up.
