Count Your Sheep, very cute and innocent and sweet.

The Repository of Dangerous Things. Action-adventure librarians! Hand-colored, unlike most webcomics, distinctive look. Ahahahaha, headifier.

What I Learned Today. Sort of like Family Circus, but actually funny? Hm, that doesn't sound like much of a recommendation. One-panel "kids are so cute" strip in which kids are realistically kidlike. But cute.

Elf Only Inn is a cut-and-paste strip set in a chatroom, sometimes amusing (am only partway through archives). This is not the first strip, but rather my favorite so far, though I'm not sure it'll be as funny if you don't know the characters, so go here for the first strip.

So, comics I currently read: The Boondocks, Doonesbury, For Better or For Worse, FoxTrot, Mister Boffo, Non Sequitur, Overboard, Sylvia, The Academia Waltz, Ballard Street, Dilbert, Get Fuzzy, Jane's World, Luann, Strange Brew, Doctor Fun, Dork Tower, Get Your War On, User Friendly, Sluggy Freelance, Sinfest, Bruno, Little Dee, and PhD. What must-reads aren't on this list? (I have a long list of things to check out at some point, but not very well prioritized... Happy to accept priority suggestions. :^)

(Note that my list is far from a general must-read list; several of those range from mediocre to frequently lame, but I stick with them out of inertia.)

I've actually stopped reading a couple of comics because they weren't worth it.

I currently read the things at my handy page of things i read. Bite Me is great, but the archives are pay-only, so it may be hard to start. Umm, you should be reading College Roomies from Hell, and you should read the archives, and you should cringe at the bad art in the first couple of months, but you should press on anyway. Real Life, Penny Arcade, and PvP are all gamer comics, to various degrees. I'd definitely recommend the latter two. Remember: you don't have to be a computer gamer to need to communicate with computer gamers occasionally.

After i finish PvP, i am going to start on the MegaTokyo archives, since people have been yelling at me about that for years.

I thoroughly second the CRFH!!! recommendation. I've mostly stopped reading webcomics, period, but CRFH!!! is so good I'm unable to stop reading it. And, yes, the beginning of the archives are thoroughly underwhelming, but press on. It's worth it.

1) The Absurd Notions archives. Reeeead them.

2) I read routinely (that you don't): CRFH, It's Walky, Nukees, Freefall, PVP, El Goonish Shive, Venus Envy, GPF, Fans! (but the archives are pay-only now), various newspaper strips; I read when I remember at least that many over again, which I shall not bother to try to list at this time. ::grin::

Ok, I'll check out Absurd Notions. Of the others, if I wanted to pick up, say, two of them, which should I pick? Or some other small value of N, if two is the wrong number; but I can't start eight or nine new things all at once, especially if I should go back and read archives.
