Not only is my uni email server domain thing down, it's down in such a way as to crash my computer when I try to ssh into it or connect to their website. Okay, technically it is *freezing* my computer and I am restarting it myself when the keyboard proves unresponsive, but same difference. Obviously I should just stop trying until, like, many hours from now, but it is my email! I want it! To make things worse I have forgotten the password for my college account. Foo.

hey--would you like an account on Trysha's machine, astrat.net? It lives in a colocation center in CA so no worries about outages (it's very reliable), and Trysha has very good spam blocking services. I use her machine now for all of my email since it is 10 times more reliable than Duke University (which is pretty reliable).
