Hugo nominations have apparently opened, although I haven't received any email, and my request for a code has not yet produced anything. But, hey, probably a good time to pull together where I am so far.

Novel: A Half-Built Garden, Babel, maybe The Golden Enclaves, although I'm already nominating it in two other categories so maybe not.

Also read: The Thousand Eyes, In the Serpent's Wake, Fevered Star, The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea, Nettle & Bone, Nona the Ninth, The Grief of Stones, Three Miles Down, A Strange and Stubborn Endurance, Ocean's Echo.

Novella: Sisters of the Forsaken Stars, What Moves the Dead, January Fifteenth, Into the Riverlands.

Also read: A Prayer for the Crown-Shy, Some By Virtue Fall, Kundo Wakes Up, "Timebox (Altared)", High Times in the Low Parliament.

Novelette and Short Story: separate post later.

Series: Scholomance (Golden Enclaves).

Graphic: M is for Monster, Across a Field of Starlight, Other Ever Afters.

Also read: Where Black Stars Rise, The Well.

Dramatic Long: Everything Everywhere All At Once.

Also saw: Strange World.

Pro Artist: separate post later.

Semiprozine: Strange Horizons, Khoreo.

Fan Artist: Laya Rose.

Lodestar: Golden Enclaves, maybe In the Serpent's Wake.

Astounding: Isabel J. Kim.

The comments here would be a fine place for people to suggest other works that you think I should make a real effort to read before nominations close, although I'm still theoretically reading one to three more magazines and that will be most of my remaining reading time...

Ooh, your ballot so far. Thanks!

I'll try to get mine up in the next week or so, so we can trade notes. I literally just finished reading (and posting about reading) C.L. Polk's queer Prohibition-era supernatural detective novel Even Though I Knew the End, and i thought it was very fun (and well-written) and plan to nominate it. But i do still have many novellas to go before i sleep, so we'll see.

Potential Lodestar nomination

I really enjoyed the YA novel _When the Angels Left the Old Country_, by Sacha Lamb. Queer Jewish Immigration story, with, you know, angels.

Thanks,
-V.

My other Dramatic Long noms (in addition to Everything Everywhere): Ms. Marvel and Turning Red.

Most of my other noms are in categories that you’re going to post about later, so I’ll wait for those posts. :)

I know, Turning Red was like a zillion years ago, right?

I would be happy with nominating any individual ep of Ms Marvel, but I don’t think there was any specific one that I liked more than any specific other one, and I thought the whole series worked well as a single story, so my inclination is to nominate in Long Form. But if you have any suggestions for Short Form, I could do that too.
