the last two Hugo graphics

psocopteraI might have gotten more out of both of these if I had reread (or at least skimmed) previous volumes first? I don't know, I guess I more or less know what's going on, and am fairly content to just float along with it. But if there were supposed to be moments of revelation here, answers to mysteries or putting pieces together, I think I'm missing them.
Anyways. DIE 2: Split the Party. Like I said about the first one, I'm interested in some of the stuff this series is doing, and not interested in other aspects. Might have found this volume less interesting than the first one, which seems like not a great direction.
Monstress 5: Warchild. Takeda's art continues to be amazing, but, I don't know. Is this actually going anywhere? Maybe it doesn't matter, maybe it is enough for it to be dramatic and aesthetic. Or maybe someday it will wrap up and I'll reread the whole thing and see how the plot arcs worked.
