Ok, when I said I thought we would get the packet after the Nebulas, I didn't think it would be *that* fast! I'm working on downloading now and will edit this post once I know what's in there.
They've given us the heads-up that they're using more netgalleys this year - I was never able to get the netgalleys to work last time they did them, so, that's not great for me.
Astounding: PDFs of Hawke City of Lies, Kuang Poppy War, Lyons Ruin of Kings, Sen 3 stories. PDF excerpt of Suri Empire of Sand. Excerpt of Tesh Silver in the Wood in pdf, epub, and mobi.
Lodestar: PDF of Catfishing, epub and mobi of Minor Mage, Netgalley of Deeplight and Riverland, excerpts of Dragon Pearl and Wicked King. (I am already done with this category but am providing this information as a service to others.)
Aha, Long Editors is so huge because Pho's packet has Chronin in it. Well, that would do it! Also nothing from two of them.
Related: just pdfs of all of them, except for an epub of the one about Heinlein, and we only get an excerpt of one about Joanna Russ.
Series: pdf excerpts for Expanse and Rosewater, pdf and netgalley excerpt for Winternight, a netgalley of Planetfall, some complicated situation with pdfs of the Incryptid short stories and netgalleys of the novels, and a full epub of the first Luna
book then pdf excerpts of the other two.
Novelette: we got the Jemisin story only as a mobi, so I guess I get to figure out how to read that.
Novella: just pdfs of Chiang and Chambers, more formats of everything else.
Novel: a pdf excerpt of Doors, a pdf of Memory, everything else in epub, mobi, and pdf. (Vexing, because I was hoping for an epub of Memory in particular so Josh could finally read it.)
ETA: looks like we got everything in the graphic novels, including the previous three volumes of Monstress, the previous five volumes of Paper Girls, and the previous 8 volumes of WicDiv! So I guess I have no excuse now for not reading that.

Date: 2020-05-31 02:04 pm (UTC)Have you tried the free program Calibre? It converts non-DRM ebooks pretty much seamlessly--if you send a book to your device using the program, it detects whether the device reads epub or mobi and converts the ebook as necessary before sending it.
Unfortunately, it doesn't do a good job of converting pdf to mobi or epub; but mobi->epub or epub->mobi works great.
ETA: It also doesn't convert pdf ebooks automatically, at least not when sending to a Kindle, since Kindles do display pdf files (badly). But converting a pdf manually and then sending it to my Kindle has not gotten me good results in the past.
