various updates
Jul. 29th, 2002 05:02 pmHave roommate, or at least he has submitted the application and credit check forms which is further than I've ever gotten before. Gene. 31. Neurosci. Former sys-admin. Sounds very geekboy. And compatible living-arrangements-preferences-wise, I think.
No jobs yet, but have big, well-ordered to-do list (thanks letzan for encouragement!) including long list of places to apply; have checked a few more of them off. Drug discovery fair next week; goal to give resume to at least five interesting-and-interested parties.
Turns out coconut milk can be frozen! So if you (say) opened a can and only used half a cup, the rest doesn't just have to rot. In related news, cooked cauliflower-carrot curry substituting broccoflower for the cauliflower, which ruins the alliteration but adds a pleasing chartreuse color. Plus I think it has more vitamins and stuff.
Nobody wanted to be fun on Sunday so I did 30 pieces of hand laundry (counting the 16 pairs of tights) instead. Why do I let it build up like that? Why do I even *buy* handwash stuff? One wonders. Am slightly worried that the sweat-smelly sweater still kinda seems to smell... is it just doomed? Used Woolite and everything. Maybe it will improve as it dries? Anyone have any handwash secrets they'd like to share? Suppose I could seal it in a bag with something better-smelling and let them fight it out...
