The Dragon Prince season one

The Dragon Prince, Netflix animated series from Aaron Ehasz. Pros: both the kids and adults of us were into it; really interesting animation; a whole pack of likeable characters and a good central conflict. Con: I'd have to rewatch certain scenes again but I don't think it passed the Bechdel-Wallace Test. (Scenes in question in a comment below; ETA: I have realized I'm wrong, but it's still not great in this aspect.) We're all hoping it'll get picked up for a second season, anyways.

Amaya fights/confronts Rayla, but are they just talking about the boys? And Ellis and Rayla are both in the party in the end... oh, wait, Lujanne and Ellis totally talk about Ava's leg, so I am wrong! But can we still say it's not strong in this department?

Yeah, I guess Ellis and Rayla haven't had a lot of chances to talk yet. Was ATLA much better, before Toph joined the party?

I ditched partway through the first episode and tried again a few episodes later, and now am caught up enough (in terms of wanting to know more, having watched some of Callum and Ezran and Rayla adventuring) to circle back to the start. Ironically the next scene after I'd paused that first episode had Claudia in it again.
