Knife's Edge

Knife's Edge, written by Hope Larson and drawn by Rebecca Mock, 2017 sequel to Compass South which I guess I never reviewed but is awesome. I liked this one less well than Compass - (spoilers) I wasn't feeling the "nobody wants to let girls do things" story, and I really felt the absence of Silas and Edwin (seriously, the "two pairs of twins" dynamic was just so good, even aside from the shipping). It was nice to get answers to the remaining big plot questions (and obviously I was strongly in favor of Hester's vaguely Captain Amelia-from-Treasure Planet-esque character design in the epilogue there) but I think what I really wanted was more Cleo/Silas text and Alex/Edwin subtext (or, you know, *text*, text would be good). I'll surely read a third one if there is one, though, which I think there will be - Tarboro needs a happy ending. And hey, maybe Silas and Edwin will come back.
