Just had Meeting With Advisor. First of all, his talk was great, particularly the relish - the unholy glee - with which he demolished the competing hypothesis. And then, no bad news! All good news! He wants me back! I get hugely obnoxious yet potentially kick-ass-result-yielding projects to choose from! All I have to do is show up at some time in the morning every day! And what's been going on in the past year... ::flutters:: they have *crystals*. *Recombinant* protein. They *diffract*. ::swoons in paroxysm of scientific delight::

You gotta love an advisor who exhibits unholy glee.

(Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen holy glee.)

Also, swooning in paroxysms is good. Especially scientific-delight paroxysms.
