Rome is going to fall any day now
Apr. 6th, 2003 08:20 pmSo I track the size of my inbox by the year AD, because it amuses me. Recently I was getting up to the Norman Conquest, which I fought back down to somewhere in the Holy Roman Empire years and was aiming for the Moorish incursion into Spain. But, really, I'd like to have it small enough that I can quickly load it in the web-to-mail gateway, so that I can check it while in Italy... have been doing serious scraping out of the *old* stuff. Mostly just saving things to the appropriate folders (I got rid of the oldest message that way... Nov 2000, dude) or following links to things that are mostly not there anymore.
Anyways, am at 482 and really, really, really want to make it back to 455, which has long been my "dream goal". And, I would seem to have a good 30+ messages of "reply to your post/comment", most of which turn out to not need responses, but, um, going through them, I just want to hug y'all. Particularly, Kelilah, thanks for all the wonderful feedback, it's making my day again rereading. Special hi and thanks! to Rhoddlet, I don't even know you in real life and yet I have a zillion comments from you of feedback and feedbacking-feedback and being supportive about my job hunt, and, yeah, how are you these days? You seem to be posting fic and model lust (Patrick Sullivan... I just don't see it ::shrugs::) - hopefully a sign that life is so okay as to be totally uninteresting to talk about? Ursule? I am *so* not cooler than you, but I don't think you read my journal so I'm actually going to get off my ass and write you some feedback, but, um, everybody ought to go read this, if one likes hilarity. Allecto and Cecilia, I miss you guys... is there a plan for a weekend? Can it include a TV and the watching of concert videos? Still have never seen the D in SDB...
And hey, there we are! ::noise of Rome falling::
