Agents of SHIELD 2x11

psocopteraLJ keeps not wanting to let me post this, grr.
Hmm. In general I get impatient with "everyone is lying to each other" plots, on the other hand that's, like, the core of this show, so I suppose I can't really object. I am more interested in the "Skye does awesome things with her power" part of her super story than the angst and fear part but I also suppose these things have a proper order about them. Honestly in some ways right now I'm more interested in Raina, I wouldn't necessarily have guessed a primetime show would have the balls to tell a story where they had to take a gorgeous, compelling character and monsterfy her. Hooking her up with eyeless Nightcrawler there seems good, she totally needs another character to play against and I'm all in favor of shuffling Kyle MacPadre offstage for awhile. Hey, Dichen Lachman got lines in flashback! I guess she wasn't so innocent, eh. I didn't really get the point of introducing all those Hydra people only to immediately kill them, or what difference that's supposed to make in where things stand. Also I swear I thought Bakshi was dead.

(2) we don't know the level of consent that was involved. guy looked old enough to consent to a risk, if it came with legit potential of awesome.
(3) as some people are telling this, it has a certain 'mutate into who you were meant to be' angle that make me think maybe not doing it is worse in some way.
is this all the basis for potentially awesome trans allegory-tastic-ness? yes, yes it is.
