SO EXCELLENT you guys. They were relocating people out of the far upper sides and so I ended up with this fabulous seat - I may never be that low in the Garden again. I remembered my earplugs but mostly didn't wear them after the first few songs because they made Adam's voice sound weird and his voice is just so amazing. I will never get over the idea of little gay music-loving Adam actually growing up to be Freddy Mercury. And I'd love to be able to tell little Bohemian Rhapsody-singalonging Amy that being grown up is going to be awesome too.

Queen, with Adam Lambert in the Freddy Mercury role (Freddy Mercury having died of AIDS in - I was going to say the late 80s, but I looked it up and it was apparently fall of 1991, which puts an interesting spin on my 8th grade class's spring-of-92 obsession with Bohemian Rhapsody, I wonder if whoever got us started on that was particularly thinking about it or aware of it because he died?)

I just went and looked up some footage of Lambert and Queen, and wow! He is so good! (always knew they were good) Cool that they had Mercury singing in part of it too. Haha, when I first heard Bohemian Rhapsody on the radio I thought it was the Beatles, don't know why. Am agreeing with the consensus it was probably Wayne's World Bohemian Rhapsody was all over radio and tv again then.
