"We have truck stickers and princess stickers," the teacher announced, and I braced myself for each kid to be handed the normative sticker, but, no, she went around the room, offered each kid their choice of sticker, and gave them all a big smile and words of approval no matter what they chose.
I thanked her for it, after class; I feel like I spend enough time ranting about this sort of thing that it's a good idea to celebrate the times when someone gets it right.
