So, I have never watched any Avatar, but since I rarely watch things and thus don't expect to watch it any time soon, and since it is very popular in the Internet circles that I do follow, I knew enough of the context to be interested in reading it - and, wow, it was really great! It's a huge shame that this isn't what the show is really about, because I would be suddenly a lot more interested in prioritizing watching a show that actually was exploring this premise ;-)
