This is not quite THE END because there is still some insurance blah blah etc. But the big thing is done.
The fire sucked and nothing will ever change that, but it's really good to know for sure now that we've come out of it okay financially.
Also (this week) I sold my Tracker and bought a Mazda 5, which is something we've sort of been thinking vaguely about for awhile, but I probably would've had a hard time working up the nerve to do if we hadn't gotten a much higher offer on the house than we thought we were going to get. (We closed this morning, so obviously we've known about this for awhile. I've been scared to say much for fear of jinxing it.)
We are down to ONE HOUSE, in which we are actually personally living. Joy and relief.
