Hey, I found something that causes worse psychosomatic itching than poison ivy!
Let me say that Junie is NOT one of the kids in the outbreak - to the very best of my knowledge, she, our family, and our house are all louse-free, and I absolutely will disclose to all contacts if at any point that changes.
Still, aaaaaaaaaa! Lice is one of my top parenting dreads. (Not top *fears* - the truly terrifying stuff, pediatric cancer, forgetting your baby in the car, kid squirming under a railing into a river, odds are good I won't have to deal with any of that. Can't say the same for lice, learning about death, or orthodontia. Thus, dread.)

Date: 2013-06-05 10:38 am (UTC)I had lice once as a small child, and I remember that the main trouble was the requirement for unrelenting laundry and the regular use of a nit comb. Looking at it from this end, I hope I never have to cope.1
