The Brides of High Hill

The Brides of High Hill, Nghi Vo, 2024 novella. The fifth Singing Hills novella, following last years's Mammoths at the Gates. Nghi Vo on an off day is still a good read, and this was enjoyably (spoiler), and I liked that (spoiler). But it didn't feel like the strongest entry in the series, and although in theory I guess they can be read in any order, I wouldn't tell people to start here.

(According to goodreads we're getting three more novellas, so we may in fact eventually get enough accumulated wordcount to nominate these for Series. I suppose I could just start, I never use all those slots...)
