snow, fic recs
Feb. 3rd, 2011 05:46 pmSo sick of snow. The piles along the driveway are up to my shoulders. When I shovel, half the time it comes sliding back down because I can't get it high enough. Sisyphus in winter. The snow this morning was lovely fluffy flakes and there are amazing icicles everywhere and ice on the branches and I try to remember that this is beautiful, but, ugh. Junie was a trooper inching down the icy driveway holding on to my thumb while I carried bags of groceries. But ugh. Why can't it just *not* snow for a while?
I do have some happy-making fic recs:
OH&S stands for "Occupational Health and Safety", I assume, and is an Inception story in which Yusuf teaches the rest of the team about safe IV placement. 2700 words. This one might not be happy-making if you're squicked by IVs. May have recommended this before but I don't have a good system for keeping track.
The Student Prince is a 145K-word Merlin modern AU. I don't think you need to know much about Merlin to enjoy it, if, you know, you're looking for a feel-good slash novel.
(ETA: I read both of these awhile ago and recently re-read them, if you're wondering how I'm only just now hearing about The Student Prince ::grin::. Reccing them now as part of my effort to Rec More Things.)
