Lost finale (part 1)
May. 24th, 2010 11:37 pmYou know what? I liked it. I really liked it. (Sorry, Chaos, I know you wanted snark.) I sort of wish they'd gone sci-fi rather than metaphysical and let the AU be a real alternate timeline split off by the bomb, but if you're going to have ghosts, heaven makes sense in that world, it was emotionally satisfying, it was aesthetically satisfying with all the mirroring of the first episode, there were a lot a lot a LOT of little writing choices to like. After the past few episodes I was expecting it to be terrible and I think it did what I didn't even believe possible and redeemed the season. Late now, more later.

However, I'll probably like the finale more on a second watch, just as I like the Harry Potter movies more on a re-watch....the first time I'm disappointed with what they didn't do, then the second time I can enjoy what they did do.
