unfortunate and fortunate

A heat wave and a water crisis: ugh. I feel so lucky to still be breastfeeding; don't have to worry about hydrating the baby, at least.

Also, when I put her down in her crib tonight, she started to get up partway, and then when she saw me sitting down next to the crib, like I do, she laid back down on her own. I've been hoping she'd figure that out one of these days! Go baby!
