The last chapter of the best Harry/Draco fic ever written has finally been posted.

Yes, that's a strong claim, but I've been in this fandom for (thinks about it) really quite awhile, and I stand by it. It's hilarious, sweet, tense, horribly wonderfully painful... even if you haven't read H/D in years, if you felt done when the last chapter of Irresistible Poison went up, or whatever... you want to read this fic. Even if you think you're too busy (yes, you). Even if you've never shipped H/D, if you like Harry Potter and/or fanfic at all.

Drop Dead Gorgeous, and the side story The Way We Get By, which comes in after Chapter Five. That's a link to the original lj posts in mistful's journal (aka Maya of Underwater Light fame), which will be up for three more days; a PDF of all of her fic ever will be up for a month after that, at which point she's wiping her fandom past to focus attention on her soon-to-be-published IRL identity.

In conclusion, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Chapter One: “I’m laughing so hard I think I’m dribbling a little,” Malfoy said from under the table. There is not enough squee in the world.

Huzzah! I've mostly stopped reading fanfic, but I'll make an exception for Maya. I started reading that one of hers back when it was started, and it's nice to know it's finished.

Huh, sometimes when I hear someone say that (or, you know, Picard says "Come"), I wonder if anyone else thinks it has Subtext.

I just read some of the fanfic, and liked it.
