So we're sitting in the theater watching Superman Returns, and there's a montage of Lois Lane making phone calls. "The blackout? Can you tell me about the blackout? ... several power grids which... - regarding the blackout - ... to ask about the bla-" and the screen fades out and all the lights in the theater shut off. I really expected some theater employee in a costume to leap into the theater. But no.

Thank goodness she wasn't calling about an earthquake. Or a tidal wave.

Whatever you do, don't make it up to yourself by watching the Christopher Reeve version of Superman. Please. :-)
