things I cannot recreate in text
Sep. 2nd, 2002 11:44 pmI am officially Less Cool than my little sister: I told her about the NSync thing. "You listen to NSync?", she said, in this pricelessly appalled tone. I told her I liked some of the songs. "You can have my NSync CD," she said, "I never listen to it any more." I didn't know you had an NSync CD, I said, and she said it was one of the first CDs she ever got, which I think means she must have been playing it while I was still home... I have no recollection of this. (When I asked which one it was she said it was "sort of blue").
She also offered me her Backstreet Boys CD and her back issues of Seventeen magazine.
Okay, I am kidding about the Seventeen magazines. Am still very amused to be lagging my baby sister in musical taste. Of course, her first kiss was before mine, too, and she taught me how to put on makeup for the prom, so maybe this all makes sense somehow... still amused, though. (Useful data point: she's four years younger.)
