And I read this wacky story in Rolling Stone about buried treasure. Well, about the history of excavation attempts of this complicated pit and tunnels system that is totally like the thing from Cryptonomicon, with tunnels set up to flood? And there's even a report of finding mercury, possibly in flasks. And! And! Theories that this may have been a cache of treasure somehow associated with William of Orange in his revolution against James!
