Roommate still seems nice, but rather more of a neatfreak than I would have guessed. Has volunteered to buy furniture-y items to organise the living room better so he could use it more, which I *think* translates to "could you please get your piles of crap out of there". Sigh.
Admittedly, the heap of papers on the old TV box is not the most convenient filing system and I've been meaning to do something about it. But, like, I actually like having the hardware in a pile in the corner of the floor, 'cause it makes it easier to grab something when I want it.
But, really, it will not be a bad thing for my life if I have to be a little more organized.
He also would really like to see the bathroom get spiffed up (a complete remodel, ideally, I think, which wouldn't be bad, if it could somehow be managed in a way in which I still had a usable bathroom in my apartment meanwhile. I think it'll probably end up just being some new shelves or something.

I think the easiest way to spiff up bathrooms is to clean them often, really. And he could certainly help with that. (Not that I'm saying your bathroom wasn't clean.)
