Ugh, it is still snowing, and has been snowing since last night, and will likely *be* snowing for most of tomorrow, too.

And despite being conveniently forcibly co-localized to the very same apartment as my dirty dishes and swapae and this and that and the other, I haven't been getting anything done - I instead spent the afternoon re-reading The Fire and the Rose on the excuse that the sequel! is posting! The Fire and the Rose II, now updating - it might be *daily*, actually, the parts seem to correspond to a part per day of December. Must confess I'm a trifle disappointed by what they chose to do, but it's a fairly common convention of Snape/Hermione fic (Snermione! ahahahaha), I guess.

so, now that i'm reading this, i'm curious what the disappointing common convention is --- i haven't read enough h/s to be able to spot it immediately, apparently. :>)

My guess would be that it's the "fast-forward 10 years into the future" bit, though I could very likely be wrong, having read far too little of this stuff to know if it's common.
