Disadvent 6
Dec. 7th, 2023 08:32 amDid the work last night but forgot to post: I went through a box of small circuit-making projects that Q didn't want any more, taking out various batteries and salvaging LEDs and tiny motors for future projects. Probably what will happen is that nobody will ever use any of it (the original projects were made as part of a daycamp), but a) at least now they're an envelope rather than a box and b) at least I've dodged the future where I open that box later on and find a horrible battery surprise.
(This was a daycamp in summer 2020, that we had signed up for pre-pandemic and which then pivoted to zoom. I can't remember if someone left the packet of materials on our doorstep, or if I picked it up, cloth-masked, in a parking lot somewhere. I suppose the completed projects would have come home in any case, unlike the many school supplies the schools kept sending. (I appreciate that they wanted everyone to have what they needed, and it was easier to just buy in bulk and send everyone everything, but gosh we were given so many boxes of markers between March 2020 and June 2021. I think there's still a whole bag of, like, completely untouched glue and crayons somewhere too.))
