psocopteraThe Kaiju Preservation Society, John Scalzi, 2022 novel. The library had this and it's a very fast read. Pretty much a dumb summer movie in novel form, which was fine - I like kaiju, I like being entertained, and I think I've said before that I have a lot of respect for Scalzi's consistency. Truly a master of fast-paced readability. (Not the criteria I personally would be looking to give the Locus award, but I guess everyone can agree on the Cheesecake Factory when they can't agree on something more interesting.)
