Even Though I Knew the End, CL Polk, 2022 novella. Fantasy-noir f/f, in an alternate 1941 Chicago with magic, demons, and fallen angels. I liked this a lot - short, snappy, great use of period detail, I really liked the characters and their relationship. Might actually be my favorite thing CL Polk has written. I got Jack Teagarden's "Blue River" stuck in my head for a bit, but, like, pleasantly so.
