psocopteraLuca. I like Miyazaki, so "what if Pixar made a Miyazaki movie" was a pretty easy sell for me. And gosh, it really really is one - the cat? the shot of the spaghetti cooking, and the nature moments? some of the character designs? The thing that's bugging me though is that the daydream-sequence music reminds me so much of some other similar dream-sequence music and I can't figure out what. But, anyways, you'll probably like it if this sounds like the sort of thing you like; I liked the sweaterboy-absolutenightmare dynamic between the boys, and will probably go shake AO3 for OT3 fic (hey, Book of Life generated some good stuff a few years ago, you never know).
