So, my horoscope in the metro for today was "You may not score the success you expect, but surprise dividends will come to you as a result of your initial efforts." Am amused, having spent the afternoon and previous evening handing out copies of my resume at the Drug Discovery convention. Would that be a good surprise dividend, do you think? Felt like I had "major-league dork" painted on my forehead most of the time, but kept gamely smiling and saying "how about tech support" when informed company x didn't have lab jobs. Most heartening conversation was with the guy who said that tissue culture is a hot skill in the market right now. Go me! Will maintain cell lines for food!

In other news, weekend at friend's lake house was awesome. Rowed a rowboat, sailed a sailboat, swam by both day and night, played a bunch of Lost Cities and some Carcassone, which has tiles that, how cool is this, get put together. And there were marshmallows and blind mini-golf and people.
