We watched the first episode on YouTube and it was so good I'm tempted to actually pay for HBO so we can keep watching as it airs. I will probably talk myself out of that by tomorrow but damn. (If you haven't read the book, highly recommended, I wrote about it here.)

I loved the book, I was excited to watch this series, and I was not disappointed by the first episode.

I've had HBOmax for a few months, we've watched a lot of Ghibli films and a few Dr Who. I'll probably cancel my account after Lovecraft Country, but might not.
