I keep picking up a few pieces of paper and shuffling them; "cleaning my room", I call this.
Has not been a week entirely without productivity, Wednesday I went to secular confession, that is, the dentist (actually the dental school) and was chided when I admitted I do not floss: six Hail Marys and I'm supposed to start flossing. And this morning the housemate and I went and did laundry (and turned in our intent-to-stay form to the landlord, so the room switch plan is now official, yay), and last night was the Night of Hometown Phonecalls as both my oldest friend (from the *4th grade*, dude) and my family called me (my sib is home now!). Am experiencing much missing of the family as they were anxious to consult me on some rules confusion in the Bean Game and are contemplating holding off on replacing the minivan (they want a small SUV) until they can get a hybrid and twas just all, eee, my family.
Best thing found so far while cleaning my room: a cassette single (obviously a free giveaway) from a pouty boy-trio called "soulDecision" of a song called "Faded" featuring lyrics such as "ever since you've been hanging round, I've been trying to figure out, what I can say to you to get some play; can we do what we did last night again, baby you and I'd be better friends, don't you think it's time we went a bit further, oh yeah". Hee hee hee. I have no idea whether this band ever went on to be heard of by anyone but I cannot help but feel that the cassette just turning up in my room like that is a sign that I should be writing more popslash ::grin::... maybe even work them in as a crossover if I can figure out what their names are. (TSOR suggests Trevor, Ken, and Dave, two of whom (judging by the cassette jacket) are bleached, one of whom is ever-so-slightly goateed, all of whom are gelled within an inch of their lives.)

Date: 2003-06-28 04:59 pm (UTC)heee. You've stumbled upon a Canadian boyband from Vancouver, man. (Well, Trevor's from the Vancouver-area, iirc. Who knows about the rest of them). They were/are pseudo-famous in Canada for being, well, a Canadian boyband. (We do it in threes!)
But it definitely IS a sign cuz, see, they opened for Nsync on the No Strings Attached tour. So, yes, definitely a sign. Go with it, man. ::nods:: (please:).
