The thing I've done *tonight* has been to start reading a few dozen of the fifteen-hundred-odd messages posted to HP4GU, oy. But a couple very good points in there among all the repetitive opinions.
As it is an issue of such concern to so many, I feel like I should say something about The Death.
Honestly, it didn't hit me all that hard... I cried reading GoF, but this was a totally different sort of thing, Fallen In Action, set up by Sirius's frustration... I thought the whole image of death as a curtain and such was very nicely done, how it's so hard for Harry to believe and then accept and such. ::shrug::
Now, Hermione going down... that really had me scared, I was seeing the earlier mention that she could already do NEWT-level spells as a sort of "look, it's okay for her to die, she's already achieved her adult potential" thing. Oh, Hermione, what's going to become of you...
