So other than reading Harry Potter and forcing carpenter to eat dubiously sticky gnocchi, the other thing I did yesterday was go back into my budget "spreadsheet" (it's a Kaleidagraph table, okay?) and do a more rigorous tracking of such things as "other checks in" and "other checks out" and income to savings separated from income to checking, and what it's looking like now is that I come out on just on the positive side in the hypothetical month if I just swap rooms (and rents) with my housemate.
Am very pleased by this finding; I think it would be very good for me to not have to be dealing with moving/a new place while also dealing with going back to school, and it is also just satisfying to not feel dumber than my budget.
