Portrait of a Lady on Fire

Portrait of a Lady on Fire is terrific: visually gorgeous, some really clever shots, intensely emotional and passionate. The tension! The romance! Certain aspects of the story and shot choices reminded me of Call Me By Your Name, but here we get period costumes and Art and women talking about art and women making choices and it was just so good. (Also there were (unnamed) male characters with (minor) lines, but they never talked to each other... how often do we see *that* in a movie...)
