Sovereign, April Daniels, 2017, sequel to Dreadnought, which I talked about here. I stayed up too late finishing this on a night when I was really supposed to get to sleep, it was too hard to put down. Excellent follow-on to Dreadnought - Danny is still a great character, the TERF supervillain was still supercreepy every time she misgendered her, April Daniels still writes one hell of a superfight. Some good new supporting characters here and quality nerding about superpowers. I liked the nuances in Danny's struggles with (very justified) anger and the appeal of violence. Daniels has said she plans a book three but is struggling with it; I hope she gets there, I'd really like to see what comes next for Danny.

I find it very soothing to have my spreadsheet with priority rankings, so I can remember how much I thought I wanted to read things and find the high-priority ones again. (And nothing ever comes off the list, so I have a way to remember that I had decided *not* to read something, if it comes up again, or that I already have. I'm a big fan of externalizing memory, my internal memory being... not great.)
