Thank you so much for writing me a story! I'm so excited! I have been Yuletiding for awhile and I think it is awesome every year and the one true secret wish of my heart is that you have a good time writing something you'll enjoy writing.
In general, I like lots of kinds of stories (gen, romantic, fluffy, funny, angsty, smutty, plotty, atmospheric). I do read and enjoy explicit stories but am also often more interested in the buildup - the dialogue, the tension, the longing, the intentions - than in the details of who's doing exactly what to where. I like character studies and quiet, reflective conversations and also absurd, over-the-top scenarios and tropes - if you want to go for a zombie invasion or wingfic or bodyswap, heck yeah, I am there for it.
Fence (Comics)
Seiji Katayama, Nicholas Cox
I ship Nick/Seiji and would love a story where there are romantic feelings, or thinking about kissing or touching, or actual kissing or touching! Pining? Mutually oblivious pining? Fake dating? Bets or dares? Other cheesy high school romance tropes? Seiji offers Nick some private fencing tutoring? I'm fine with a story with an open ending or that doesn't resolve the sexual tension.
If you don't want to go in a romance direction, I would love any look inside Seiji's head, or a look at Nick's life before/outside of school. I feel like there's so much we don't know about these guys, let's do the fandom thing and fill some stuff in!
I stay up-to-date on the comic so spoilers for recent issues are fine, but it's also fine to break off and go AU from any point of the comic. But I would prefer no total AUs.
Ocean's 8 (2018)
Constance (Ocean's)
I would be super into Constance/Nine Ball - having some kind of hacker-vs-pickpocket competition? Collaborating on some kind of project or heist? Nine Ball can't understand why dexterity-maxed Constance is so bad at pool? They somehow get stuck babysitting Tammy's kids together?
But I would also love a story just about Constance - how she outwits the annoying old people in her condo association, or her very early adventures as a tiny baby pickpocket, or five things she decided not to steal (but totally could have), or anything. I would be happy to have Constance paired up with any of the other women - I'm very multi-shippy and I like every single possible combination of these ladies - or to get a totally romance-free story.
Delilah Dirk and the Turkish Lieutenant

I just love them so much. As friends, or as friends who sometimes hook up, or as long-term committed romantic partners, whatever. I would love a story in which they get together romantically, or are an established couple, or visit an interesting destination, or get castaway/stranded/have to take shelter from dangerous weather, or discover something strange (and/or unexpectedly erotic) in some ruins, or, like, anything. Pining/mutual pining is okay but I would prefer a story that ends with them mutually happy about the state of their friendship/relationship - no unrequited ending for them please.
I've read all three books and am happy with a story set at any point during/between/after any of them, or that forks off and completely ignores/contradicts later events, whatever.
In general, I don't have any triggers, or any squicks that you're at all likely to stumble into. Like, hey, I don't like necrophilia, and I think there was basically 0% chance that you were reading whichever of these requests and thinking of writing that. I am specifically okay with dom/sub dynamics and kink that involves playful competition or obligation or "punishment" as long as the relationship is fundamentally respectful and caring (or awkwardly caring and struggling to express that, that can be good...). In the interest of maximum fun, I will admit that I don't like the following not-uncommon story elements:
- pets (especially surprise pets);
- women characters being pressured to dress up more femininely than their normal preference, and/or being seen as particularly attractive if they do that (I'm fine with dudes suddenly being extra stunning in their fancy clothes (or *their* pretty dresses and makeup));
- financial imprudence, particularly overly-extravagant gestures (relative to the character - obviously the Ocean's 8 ladies have a lot more cash than, say, Nicholas Cox, but I'm uncomfortable when anyone spends "beyond their means" whatever that means for them).
- most romantic/sexual jealousy plots, particularly when a character realizes they're into someone only by seeing them with someone else. That said I could totally see Selim being like "why has Miss Dirk not made *me* part of her extensive and expanding pool of highly-satisfied lovers of various genders and body types", as long as it doesn't end in a "true love=monogamy" place. I mean, I'm fine with any of these relationships *being* monogamous, but not in a way where a character is "settling down" from previous promiscuity.
