psocoptera2018 middlegrade graphic novel Be Prepared by Vera Brosgol (she was Return to Sender of the Pants Press kids, and previous graphic novel Anya's Ghost, and picture book Leave Me Alone mentioned here). A classic tale of having a terrible time at camp and eventually having a less-terrible time at camp. A fine addition to the genre of middlegrade social-drama graphic novels like Smile and Real Friends, but El Deafo is still definitely the standout of them.
