A bunch more stuff from Tor.com.

Waiting on a Bright Moon, JY Yang. I want to compare this to Aliette de Bodard, although I worry I'm lumping Asians In Space together, but, look, if you like the one, you'll like the other. NOVELETTE

Party Discipline, Cory Doctorow. NOVELETTE. Doctorow's books are all on my perpetual to-read list (except, like, Down and Out, which I read long ago) but this is a tie-in to his latest novel Walkaway.

Uncanny Valley, Greg Egan. Always interesting to see what Egan is up to, although this doesn't have the power of his best stuff. NOVELETTE.

A Burden Shared, Jo Walton. Technological pain-sharing. Wow.

Mental Diplopia, Julianna Baggott. And this is one heck of an apocalypse.

Ecdysis, Julianna Baggott. Past selves.

Microbiota and the Masses: A Love Story, S.B. Divya. A bit nerve-wracking but ultimately sweet.

Extracurricular Activities, Yoon Ha Lee. A Jedao adventure. I don't think you need to have read Ninefox for this (and definitely not Raven Stratagem, this came out earlier) - just imagine Jedao as a less-moral Miles Vorkosigan and you'll be close enough for the purposes of this story.

Astronaut, Maria Dahvana Headley. Part of Tor.com's "Nevertheless She Persisted" Women's Day celebration. I honestly didn't know until I read this that Able and Baker had been female monkeys.

Jeez, I could have sworn I read that Jo Walton story like three years ago. 2017 was one hell of a weird ride.
