oh, arrgh

So I was very late to work this morning (booo) but then I figured out exactly how to fit two long, multi-timed-step procedures together *and* squeeze in a third thing (yay!), but then it looks like something went wrong with my Western blots (boo), but then because I had been late I don't mind staying to feed the transfections which the boss forgot about this morning and started several hours late (yay? I'd *like* it if he realized there are some advantages to my schedule being a bit offset from his), but then we were talking and it looks like I had sort of been thinking he was in charge of tissue culture and he had been thinking I was in charge of tissue culture and it's not entirely clear cells have gotten fed every day. Oh, *argh*. He left in what seemed to be a very disgruntled mood... I'm inclined to view this as a breakdown in communication, but what if he sees it as a breakdown in responsibility? And this is right before my advisor's going to be here giving a talk, and *god*, I'd really like it if the boss had generally satisfied things to say about me when they meet.
