Operation Luxembourg. I do like a good Bruno/Boots story.

there's a joke here somewhere and it's on me. Or this one.

Irresistible. No, this one! Bruno/Boots Veela AU, yay.

Christmas at Duke's Denver. Harriet Vane and her in-laws, a small but very nice story.

Solitary as an Oyster. I'm afraid I've forgotten who all the secondary cast here are, but this feels very right for Harriet, and it's very good writing.

Seasons Change. What if, later in life, Jo and Laurie... also Dan/Rob, which never occurred to me but works really well here.

College and Family. Lilo and Stitch, about Nani and Lilo and family.

Naamah's Gift. A Kushiel story in which Alcuin gets to have a nice time, which is nice.

Reaching for Sunlight. A 33K Kushielverse AU in which Melisande has driven the Courcels into exile, and Sidonie comes back to the City of Elua to do something about that. Well-written and a neat idea!

The Rummy Affair of the Brinkley Ball. Jeeves/Wooster, Madeline/Honoria, beards. Nice Wooster voice.

Gone. Inside Out drabble about Bing Bong.

I got my fictional Harriets mixed up and got really excited for a moment that "Solitary as an Oyster" was grown-up Harriet the Spy fic. Clearly I need to try and do Yuletide next year.

edit: while I'm commenting here, have your kids ever read the Anne and Lizzy Rockwell series of books set in the same kindergarten classroom? (So far we've gone through Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentine's Day, Career Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Show and Tell Day, and at least two more.) I searched AO3 for "rockwell" and "madoff" (Mrs. Madoff being the name of the teacher) and found nothing, but man I want background fic for this series to exist, because the Rockwells (Anne is the mom/author, Lizzy is the daughter/illustrator) are great at giving just enough backstory to hint at something. Jessica's mom is a veterinarian and her first husband works with horses in Texas, but Jessica's stepfather Lou has a desk job! Charlie's parents are a pilot and a judge -- how'd they get together? Mrs. Madoff looks like the prototypical gentle white kindergarten teacher and her husband is a globe-trotting paleoentologist (sic?) of color -- how'd they get together? How are Sam's parents, who need Sam to help with his piggy bank in order to get a new kitchen table, able to afford a school with a 1:6 student-teacher ratio? And so on.

I'm amused by this comment because i now have a somewhat clear understanding of who Harriet Vane is, which i arrived at exclusively through reading Yuletide fic, of which she seems to be a staple. I've never read the Lord Peter Wimsey novels and didn't previously know a thing about them.

Harriet the Spy not so much with Yuletide, though i think she shows up occasionally.

Wodehouse is the single most difficult writing style to emulate that I have ever attempted. (Also probably the least sexy sex scenes I've ever written. Bertie's narrative voice is just not very sexual. XD)
