The duck floats! The rock sinks! The water goes sploosh all over the floor, and mama says funny words, and then we get to soak it up with towels! That was Quentin's favorite part, getting to mop up.

Anyways I have officially embarked upon Science with thing two here. Will be interesting to see how it's different, and how it's the same.

We're going to be talking about hot (warm) vs cold water in my science class this week. I predict, much like Q, my students' favorite part will be spilling and cleaning up the water we make a mess with.

All in the name of science, right?

Excellent! It'll be interesting to hear how it goes, the second time through!

Will your next experiment look be using logic, a scale, and a duck to determine if a woman is a witch or not?

I meant to go back through your posts to see what you'd done with Junie to get ideas of stuff to do with Z. Here's an idea: what about science with a team of tinies? Would you be interested in getting together to do science? Because then we could see each other, and have a playdate, and there could be science. Which is a good thing to do indoors, when it's wet or cold out.

That would be super awesome and I'm sorry to have taken so long to reply to you! Q is getting over a cold but maybe some time next week? We could talk and make a plan at baby potluck, if not before...

I still remember when I was about 4 or 5 my mom showed me that some things float and some don't, and I was fascinated that aluminum foil floats if we had bunched it into a ball but it sinks if we had folded it flat.
