The list of places that have too many mosquitoes for me to sit and relax now includes my living room; I keep killing them but more keep biting me. (Bottom of the foot: surprisingly horrible. Itching way more and longer than back of the arm or back of the neck. I would have thought it would be too tough, maybe the mosquito had to put in extra juice or something?) I'm just angry that here I am staying away from even checking in on my vegetable garden to try to avoid the suckers, and I'm still getting all bit up. Unfair.

I think the ants, that I thought weren't carpenter ants, are carpenter ants, so we'll need to do something about that.

I sprained (or possibly hairline fractured, they're sending me for an xray on Monday) my pinky toe last night, throwing a wrench into all of our plans that involved me being able to walk without pain (which was, um, pretty much all of them). Josh worked from home today to help me with Q. To add illness to injury I finally got the cold and had sinus pain all night and was achy and shaky all day.

I was sort of unstuck in time while we were in San Diego but now that I'm back I can't help but notice that we are like two days from the end of June and we had hoped to put the old house on the market in June and, huh, I guess that's not happening. Relatedly we will most likely not be closing by Labor Day. Yes, it was an arbitrary deadline but it was one I was clinging to. Basically I feel overwhelmed and drowning in irritations and I *know* I'm really lucky if these are the bad things in my life but it is really hard to maintain perspective with mosquitoes in my fucking living room.

Think about escaping to the Cape (yes, we have mosquitoes, but not in the little mesh tent that Sean made so that we can eat and work out on the back porch, and not any that I've noticed so far in the house) when we get back from our home trade in NYC.

Ugh, ugh, ugh and ugh! I hope July is a serious step up for you.
