You can guess what came of my hopes of catching up on various things during the trip, given that I didn't even manage to post about the trip.

It was mostly good though! A mix of luxurious entertainments (Sea World, Legoland) and simple ones (my dad helped Junie pick a lemon and make lemonade from it, my mom played her records on the old kids record player), punctuated by Q misadventures (a mild sunburn, a moderate fever). (Q, overall, also had a good time though.) And now we are back.

Hrm, I can really only speak for myself, but I can say that I would not have found Legoland worthwhile for myself as an adult were it not for getting to see Junie's enjoyment of it. My sister and I agreed that our favorite part was seeing the life-sized versions of things we remembered from Lego sets - the palm trees, the jousting horses, the flag on the castle - but that wouldn't be worth the cost of the ticket, to me. Most of the rides are for kids. I don't recall much in the way of "creativity-oriented activities" - there were a few little pavilions with tables with bricks, but it didn't look like they were anything particularly special, like, nothing you couldn't have in a bucket of pieces at home. Miniland, with the model buildings, is cute. ::shrug:: I don't know. I hope you end up having an awesome time though?
