Dear Yuletide Author,

Hi! Yuletide time! I am so excited! Thank you so much for being my author and writing me a story!

General tastes:

My requests all seem to be het or gen this year, but I read a lot of slash, and lately I write mostly gen, and I like multiple/poly ships too. I don't mind explicit sex if the story calls for it but am often more interested in character moments than in hotness. I would be happy with fluff, or angst, or humor, or adventure, or whatever. I don't have any triggers or things-I-could-not-possibly-read. What I really want out of Yuletide is the chance to spend a little more time with characters I like whose story I didn't get quite enough of in canon.

I requested:

Newsflesh - Mira Grant
Georgia Mason, Shaun Mason

I would love a post-Blackout story about Shaun sorting things out with clone!George and hallucination!George. This could be anything from a sort-of threesome in bed to an argument on the road in Canada, as long as it had all three of them in it. I'm curious how things might work between the "three" of them - do the two Georges disagree? Do they gang up on Shaun? Is Shaun eager for hallucination!George to go away, or does he want to keep them both?

Further information: my interest in the Newsflesh universe is pretty much limited to Shaun and George (for all values of George, original, clone, or hallucinatory). I don't really care about blogging, zombies, or any of the other characters. That said, I'm not *opposed* to blogging or zombies, if you feel that a proper Newsflesh story should have some blogging or zombies in it somewhere. But mostly I just want Shaun/George/George interaction. I'd be very happy if that was sexy interaction (there's just something hot, to me, about this imaginary third person, who is sort of the same as the second person, but not exactly, or to look at it another way, this third person who can read the first person's mind, who the second person can't see or hear...) but also happy with a thousand words of totally non-sexual banter or bickering if you are not feeling the threesome potential here.

Temeraire - Naomi Novik
Emily Roland, Demane

Roland/Demane, first kiss? Or any other scene from their relationship? Or if you'd rather avoid anything shippy, a conversation about dragons and being the captains of dragons?

Further information: I finished Crucible of Gold and thought "wow, someone has surely written the Roland/Demane story that is clearly going on in the background here", but sadly, no one has. I don't necessarily ship them in the sense that they have to be each other's *last* relationship (I can imagine a good story about their amicable breakup) but I like the idea that they're each other's first relationship. I'd love to see something about how that grew out of whatever friendship or rivalry they felt when they were younger. Or, apart from romance, I wonder how they relate as aviators, what they feel they have in common, or what divides them (Emily being a woman in the male-dominated British military? Demane being Xhosa and not formally in the military at all?). I'd be happy with a story about them at any point in their lives - as kids when they were both part of Temeraire's crew, or from after Demane has Kulingile, or from the far future when Emily is with Excidium.

Emergence - David R. Palmer
Candy Smith-Foster

I would love to see any glimpse of Candy later in life, at any age (15? 18? in her 20s? an old woman?), doing anything.

Further information: if you have actually read this book and want to write a story about it I am going to run around and squee like a maniac. Seriously, eeeeeeeee. A thousand words of Candy doing laundry? Kidfic? Psychic hijinks with Terry? Everyone plays Never Have I Ever? There's another apocalypse? I can't imagine not being delighted by whatever you come up with. Regarding shipping, I do like Candy with Adam but there is also canonical polyamory in the AA community and Candy strikes me as open-minded, so, Candy/anybody, or Candy/nobody, it's all good.

About Christmas: I have a three-year-old and a baby, and a bunch of relatives who need to come dote on them, so, uh, I'll be having a busy day, and it may take me a while to get a quiet moment to read and respond. Please be patient with me; I want to be able to really enjoy your story, not skim it while the three-year-old yells in one ear and my mother talks in the other.
