my evening

Kid number one made a giant number one on the rug; kid number two made a giant number two on my pants. It's really just as well we don't have a third kid, I can only assume there would have been blood or puke.

(The kids were otherwise quite adorable today, and I have some really nice friends who helped me get through the evening (the pants incident was at someone else's house, the rug, thank goodness, was at home) and get everyone a chance to eat dinner (thank you to everyone who held kid two, helped kid one, loaned me pants, etc). So, a pretty good day despite the bodily fluids.)

I'm sorry, but I couldn't help dissolving into laughter as I read this. In fact, I'm laughing again as I write. I'm sure that neither incident was funny at the time, but being able to turn them both into a wonderfully humorous post is a gift!
