psocopteraWe are up to episode 5, The Spirit of Competition. Please NO SPOILERS for anything beyond episode 5!
Questions, theories, things I want to see:
- So there's this giant statue of Aang, and a couple of other statues we've seen (Toph on the Metal Cops headquarters, possibly Zuko), and we've got metalbenders running around - how much do I want a giant-statues battle with people animating the statues? (So much.)
- Katara taught Korra to heal. Did she teach her bloodbending? (On the one hand, she obviously considered it a "dark art", and not super-practical, but on the other hand, if she felt protective of a tiny wee Avatar, maybe she wanted to send her out into the world with every possible tool that could protect her, and who better than the Avatar to be trusted to use it ethically?)
- Why didn't Korra go into the Avatar State when ambushed by Amon and the Equalist chi-blockers? Didn't Aang used to go into it whenever he was seriously threatened? Did the chi-blocking block her ability to access it?
- I sort of want to write fic now where Tenzin really was meant to be with whoever and Pema is like the evil mastermind who put the mind-whammy on him somehow and yeah, their kids are adorable, but she's still up to long-term no good. They never suspect the pregnant lady, muahahaha, I don't know. There was just something a little weird there.
